Book Distribution Across Pakistan
Since 2021, ITA has been dedicated to enriching the literary landscape for children in Pakistan. ITA’s mission is to provide access to high-quality, engaging reading materials that are both age-appropriate and culturally resonant.
Through this dual approach of adaptation and creation, ITA is helping to build a foundation of literacy and a lifelong love of reading for children across Pakistan. The journey to bring books to children across Pakistan was a carefully coordinated effort, unfolding in multiple phases to maximize ITA’s reach and impact. The breakdown below details the expansion of this initiative across Pakistan.
In Phase I, ITA successfully distributed 196,000 copies of adapted books across 1,720 schools in Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, and ICT. The initiative provided 367,764 students with access to 28 Adapted titles translated into Urdu and Sindhi to enhance learning.

Book Distribution in 2020-2022
In phase 2.0, ITA distributed 490,400 copies of books including 28 Adapted Books and 15 newly developed books to 4,823 schools across Pakistan. This initiative provided 1.36 million students with accessible learning materials translated into Urdu, Sindhi, Pashto, and Dari.

Book Distribution in 2023
In Phase 2.4, ITA successfully distributed over 111,000 copies of 28 Adapted Titles and 9 newly developed books across all regions of Pakistan. The books were translated into Urdu and Saraiki to enhance learning accessibility in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK, Gilgit Baltistan, and ICT.

PLP has established child-friendly Library rooms in 24 primary schools (12 in Bahawalpur and 12 in Lahore) and the establishment of classroom library corners in 10 more schools (05 in Bahawalpur and 05 in Lahore).
