Latest from PLP - Teachers Training on Classroom Library Period and Management – District Lahore

After the successful implementation of Training of Trainers Workshop, the PLP team planned Teacher Training Workshop in Lahore and Bahawalpur. To this end, PLP team requested the respective CEOs to nominate 6 teachers and the head teacher from each school. As requested by the DEOs, the training was divided into two phases across both districts, such that 3 teachers from each school will participate at a time.  


In district Lahore, training for Batch 1 was conducted from 19th to 22nd September and batch 2 from: 26th to 29th September. In total 36 participants attended the training workshop. In Bahawalpur 39 participants in total attended the workshop, held from 19th to 22nd September for Batch 1, and from 21st to 24th September, 2022 for Batch 2 .Most of the sessions were conducted by the Area Education Officers (AEOs) from School Education Department (SED) Punjab, with representatives from ITA facilitating the sessions.

Establishment of Libraries

PLP has established child-friendly Library rooms in 24 primary schools (12 in Bahawalpur and 12 in Lahore) and the establishment of classroom library corners in 10 more schools (05 in Bahawalpur and 05 in Lahore).
